Professor Ghislaine Lydon will present material from her research that seeks to better understand the dynamics of the interfaith trade between Muslims and Jews in northwestern Africa. Due to scholarly divide between N. Africa and so- called Sub-Saharan Africa, the history of trans-continental exchange in the caravan trade system has not been adequately explored.
